Update and Almost-Post-Undergrad Hauls

I don’t know where to start, or maybe the fact that it’s unknown could be a start.I have been spending days, weeks, months poring over the last remnants of my undergrad requirements until I finally start that long-awaited march in October. It had been an emotional roller-coaster ride (if you use LiveJournal, my personal thoughts are poured over there) and from a long talk I’ve had with a mentor last night, I can look back at the experiences with laughter, a bit of melancholy and a huge serving of life’s lessons. 🙂

But I am not going to bore you with tears and all, this is a beauty blog after all! 😛 So for the past few months, I have been hauling to, sort of, stand as my retail therapy. It’s those bits and blobs that make my day a little bit cheerier than usual.

Picture 1: Wet n Wild Megalast nail polishes in Private Viewing, Bite the Bullet, Candy-licious, Sugar Coat; Rimmel blush in Santa Rose, pretty dangling earrings, a travel-sized Victoria Secret’s Sheer Love lotion (LOVE the scent!)

Picture 2: Milani single eyeshadows in Antique Gold, Java Bean, Sun Goddess; Nichido single eyeshadows in Gold Foil, Bronze Eclair; The Face Shop Make Me Star Waterproof Gel Liner in 06 (wore it last night; a smudge-proof, stay-all-night hunter green with gold flecks)

Picture 3 and 4: swatches! ❤

Picture 5: Wet n Wild 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes in Petal Pusher and Comfort Zone

Picture 6: Caress nail polish in Metallica, Sassy Colors nail polishes in Starstruck, Arabian Nights, Bewitched; Essie nail polish in Good As Gold (my first high-end polish; a bit of splurging won’t hurt, will it?)

Picture 7: Miss Beauty sand nail polishes in 03, 06, 13 (gritty, matte and it really feels like sandpaper on your fingertips)

Picture 8: discounted mini Max Factor nail polishes in Diva Coral, Ivory, Bronze

I’ll be back for the regular blog posts that I, myself, have been missing to do. See you! 😉

E.L.F Haul, the international version

Nope, I didn’t get it shipped all the way from the Land of Milk and Honey. Thanks to my local eBay, I get the opportunity to get these items that haven’t reached my shores yet. E.L.F is available locally but sadly, not all products are available. So to indulge in my E.L.F cravings, here are stuff that I can see myself wearing for an insanely long amount of time. 🙂

1. E.L.F Makeup Lock and Seal – this is specifically for a container of pigment I’ve bought a long time ago. And the brush! It has potential for a concealer brush.

2. E.L.F Lip Lock Pencil – it’s waxy, as in, like candle wax. It’s not too uncomfortable though but if you’re picky, stick with your lip liners. I only have a nude pink liner in my arsenal and I’m too arsed to actually purchase liners in more colors. This will do, I guess.

3. E.L.F Body Shimmer – can it please be summer vacation already so I can wear these babies out?? Excited can’t even describe on how I feel about these. I can wear this on my decolletage, non-existent cheekbones, calves, the possibilities are endless!

I got myself a Tinted Moisturizer too in Spice for friends who have darker skin tones than me, especially those whom I always get a “sorry, didn’t bring any foundation today!”.

Besides these E.L.F goodies, I’m still pining for NYX, Essence, Rimmel & Too Faced to reach my shores! Pretty please!

A Midweek Little Haul

My eBay package hasn’t arrived yet (much to my dismay) since I forgone to look at the seller’s little disclaimer: she’s currently away & will be back to business next week. Note to self? Read disclaimers, seller’s notes and whatnots. /facepalm

So to compensate for my absent-mindedness this week (lame excuse, I know), I found stuff that fit my meager budget:Those are Ever Bilena Pro Glitter Eyeshadows (Php100/$2.32) in Snow in the Moonlight, Cinnamon Crush and Dark Sherbet, E.L.F Nail Polish (Php125/$2.90) in Moonlight and Careline Lipstick (Php100/$2.32) in Butter Scotch. I’m not sure if the Ever Bilena ones are new since I just spotted them now. You apply them with a built-in sponge-tipped wand and it’s pretty convenient especially for touch-ups. I got the E.L.F polish for 20% off and I can see myself using that Careline Lipstick daily.

Personally, I think it’s not too bad for a midweek haul. 😀 I might post a review about these shadow ‘pens’ but I’m on a slow blogging mode. I’m on the last legs of my final project for my major and it’s been keeping me awake. Doing these little hauls and sticking to a budget definitely keeps the stress away.

A few days more till Friday.. just a little bit more and you’re there! 🙂
